Reflecting on 2011 Cricket World Cup Memories Ahead of 2023 Final.

Back In 2011, I vividly remember the night when India clinched the World Cup. The tournament had reached its midpoint when I started watching the games, but my lack of understanding of cricket terms initially hindered my enjoyment of the sport. However, that unforgettable night of the World Cup victory changed everything.

The celebrations, the collective joy, and the emotional outpouring of people around me had a profound impact on me. The World Cup triumph became a source inspiration, prompting me to delve deeper into the sport and regard its players as my role models. From that moment on, I became a fervent follower of the game, paying close attention to and thoroughly understanding every subtle aspect, detail, and intricacy of cricket.

I was so fond with cricket that, during the school's Children's Day celebration that year, I persuaded my parents to let me dress up as a cricketer, specifically as a batter. My passion for the game was such that I set my sights on playing cricket professionally, and I made it a point to watch every match the Indian cricket team played.

However, as life unfolded, my dreams of pursuing cricket at a professional level took an unexpected turn, and I found myself pursuing engineering instead. Despite the change in direction, I remain grateful for the invaluable life lessons and inspiration that the sport has instilled in me.

I believe that 2023 Cricket World Cup will serve as a catalyst, inspiring a new generation to take up cricket, represent the nation, and perhaps fulfil the dreams that I once had.
